Interior Designer group, New i.d. are thrilled to announce they have been shortlisted for a prestigious idfx award in the 2010 ceremony.
The annual awards which take place during the renowned London Design Festival are a highlight of the week with all eyes on the nominee’s and final winners on the day. Nominated as a finalist in the Best Budget category, New i.d. are extremely proud of this recognition, particularly considering the high number of entries and tough competition for the award. The project was a labour of love and the team are very pleased with the results achieved, which surpassed client expectations and importantly, was kept within budget without compromising on style or quality.
Lead designer Laura Stearman worked closely with the owner to achieve a perfect fusion between the style of the building and the comfort of modern living designed purely with refined comfort in mind.
Laura commented “I paid a lot of attention to the use of wallpapers and fabrics using feature wallpapers in all of the rooms alongside rich fabrics such as chenille velvets and silks. I really wanted to acknowledge the original use of the building by reflecting its former filming days through glamorous elements such as a large bespoke made console in the entrance hallway and the large art prints of 40’s and 50’s actresses.
